Shanda Game, Kingsoft Establish Game JV
Shanda (Nasdaq:SNDA) division Shanda Game (Nasdaq:GAME) and Kingsoft (3888.HK) will establish a joint venture focused on the development and co-operation of games, qq.com reported citing a December 28 joint announcement. The JV’s first project will be to operate Kingsoft’s in-house developed 3D martial arts MMORPG JX Online 3, according to the report.
Kingsoft Chairman and CEO Pak Kwan Kau said the cooperation follows the successful co-operation of Kingsoft’s 2D martial arts MMORPG JX Online World with Shanda, and that Kingsoft and Shanda Game may cooperate in personnel and capital in future.
Reports in late November said Kingsoft plans to co-operate nearly all of its online games, excluding JX Online 3 with Shanda.
