Baidu Forum Channel Links Up With Sohu IT
Baidu’s (Nasdaq:BIDU) online forum channel Baidu Post Bar and Sohu’s (Nasdaq:SOHU) IT channel formed a strategic partnership on January 29 in areas including content, operation and interactive promotions, said Sohu.
Sohu’s IT channel will recruit members from its digital community to build Baidu forums for topics including computers, electronics and mobile communication, with more than 100 Sohu webmasters building and managing forums, the report said. The companies also plan to spend more than RMB 10 million on ten activities for internet users, the report said.
According to another Sohu report, Baidu Post Bar has more than 200,000 active forums and about 20 million active daily users, with average daily traffic of 250 million. Baidu Post Bar previously announced plans to bring in around 100,000 partners to provide applications over the next three years.
