Changyou Slates “Chinese Hero” OB for May 20
Sohu’s (Nasdaq:SOHU) online gaming subsidiary Changyou.com (Nasdaq:CYOU) plans to start open beta testing of its licensed 3D martial arts MMORPG Chinese Hero (“Zhonghua Yingxiong”) on May 20, according to a posting on the game’s official site on May 6. The latest round of testing will include new battlegrounds, activities and dungeons, the posting said.
Changyou signed actor Ekin Cheng (the “hero” in the 1999 movie Zhonghua Yingxiong — English title: “A Man Called Hero”) to star in a promotional video for the game to be screened nationwide in movie theaters showing “Iron Man 2″ from May 7, according to the posting.
Changyou started final round closed beta testing of the game on April 22.
